Jonathan Cuney
SRI Group LLC
Jonathan Cuney is the Founder and Managing Director of SRI Group LLC, bringing together military operational experience, defense-industry leadership, intelligence studies, and specialized equipment procurement.
A former U.S. Marine Corps infantry Sergeant and combat veteran, Cuney served with Marine Corps Security Forces at the Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic and later with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines. His military experience included security operations involving strategic military assets and combat service during the Second Battle of Fallujah, where he was wounded in action and awarded the Purple Heart.
Following his military service, Cuney built extensive experience within the defense and firearms industries, including serving as a District Manager for Glock, Inc. and in management with AmChar Wholesale. During his industry career, he worked with hundreds of law-enforcement agencies and developed substantial experience identifying, sourcing, and supplying professional equipment to military, law-enforcement, security, and government customers.
His professional and academic interests center on intelligence, irregular warfare, biodefense, agricultural security, emerging threats, and the relationship between technology and modern security operations. He holds degrees in Agricultural Business and Military Intelligence and is pursuing graduate study in Military Studies, Public Health, and Biodefense.
Cuney founded SRI Group to apply this combination of operational experience, industry knowledge, and academic study to real-world security challenges. Under his leadership, SRI Group provides intelligence and security consulting, specialized equipment sourcing and procurement, and mission-focused solutions for government, commercial, and qualified private clients.
